Our story

Flavors born on the streets of Penang

Penang is an island where Malay, Chinese and Indian cooking share the same street. Its hawker stalls are why food lovers fly halfway around the world.

We bring those bold, layered flavors to Arlington Heights: coconut rice and sambal, wok-charred noodles, prawn broth and curries that take hours. Cooked the way the island taught us. We’ve been doing it on Algonquin Road since 2008.

Love this restaurant for the Malaysian food, everything is so tasty and I wish I can visit them more often!!!

Has great Malaysian food along with some Thai food as well … We were served very quickly; and our waitress asked a few times if everything was good or if we needed anything. Attentive but not intrusive.

I go here everytime. Got the curry laksa, nasi lemak and roti canai. It’s delicious. Service was pretty fast, ambience is relaxing. Indeed, transports you to Penang.
Yelp revieweron Yelp
The roti is light and crispy and the chicken and potato dipping sauce is addicting (the roti canai alone was enough to get me to go back the next day!!!).
Yelp revieweron Yelp
Satay had nice ginger and lemongrass flavor to the meat; the laksa was spicy but not overwhelming … Fried rice was top tier. My 10 year old said it made his list of “best 3 restaurants.”
